Circular technology is the heart of many of our developments. With versatile and unique features, it allows you to create textiles for all sorts of applications, pattern combination, body mapping, size control, and build unique structures in your garments and other applications.  

 


 

Santoni Technology

The Santoni knitting technology can develop knitted materials, which can be divided in three main categories:

  • Large Diameter: machines to produce rolls of fabric (tubular or open width)
  • Seamless: to produces body size fabrics
  • Socks or Footwear Technology

This wide range of alternatives is designed to produce almost all the possible garments in the apparel industry, as well as to be suitable for the most common applications such as compression wear, lifestyle apparel, nightwear, outwear, sport (cycling, running, football, golf, yoga, swim and winter) underwear and footwear. However, the opportunities go beyond just apparel as the technology can be applied to interior, upholstery, automotive and so on. What is Seamless?


Seamless technology was initially used for manufacturing of inner wear due to the minimum number of seams. The absence of the elastic bands and tags makes inner wear made on seamless machines very comfortable to wear. Because of the unlimited pattern possibilities, seamless technology is now being employed to manufacture very exclusive outer wear.

Top 2 Fast


The Top2 Series seamless knitting machines are able to produce materials for diverse applications such as: underwear, sport wear, swimming ware, beach wear, sanitary wear, among others.

The main characteristics of this technology are its capability for body size control, comfort, less sewing, 3D shaping (such as cup structure for breast support), waist welt with elastic yarn, and integrated crotch structure.

Another of its main features is that the same course may change structure, color, and density, offering a wide variety of textures.

Plating


This special weft knit construction uses the addition of a second yarn within the same knitting loop.

The first yarn also called main or body yarn is commonly a synthetic (i.e. polyester or polyamide) or natural (i.e. cotton) fiber, similar to regular circular knit fabrics.

This second yarn, also called plating or backing yarn is commonly an elastomer yarn (i.e. elastane), providing unique stretch ability to the fabric.

During the knitting process, the position of each yarn to the surface is carefully engineered, creating endless opportunities of different knit patterns, surface and elasticity effects; all within one single fabric tube.

How Does it Work?


With the technology, we work towards a product directly (half garment).

Traditionally, the process flow is from machine to material to product. Within seamless we skip one process and we produce a body-sized tube. This tube contains the design elements and features you have in mind: the waistband/hem is automatically knitted and you do not have any side seam.

SM8 TR1S


Our TR1S machines are great for developing seamless apparel garments, underwear, sportswear, industrial textiles, sleepwear, and other products.

It is the best solution for knitting fishnet/anti-drop stitch structures (patented), which provides your garments with breathability and moisture management.

Basic knitting capability of this machine: knitting, floating, tuck, and plating stitch.

SM DJ2T


Our SM DJ2T machine is our favorite for double jersey structures. Its variety of structures and allows for maximum comfort and refinement, while, at the same time, reducing sewing and extra production time.

It allows you to knit multi-color jacquard, different structures, link-links, single jersey, stripe, transfer.

  • Diamenter: 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24/ inch
  • Gauge: 14E, 16E, 18E, 20E

Knitting capability:

  • Face stitch: 2 color, 3 color or 4 color jacquard, combine with jacquard and structure.
  • Backside stitch: vertical, horizontal, bird eye, big bird eye and even float stitch.

SM4-TL2 Seamless Knitting Machine


SM4-TL2 characteristics and applications

SM4 -TL2


SM4 -TL2 is a 4-feed single jersey circular electronic machine, having 2 selection points for each direction for knitting fishnet or jacquard inlay structure (Santoni patent).

The machine allows knitting of seamless wear single garments for underwear, outwear, swimwear, sportswear and sanitary garments.

It owns a patented SANTONI system that allows knitting with 4 feeds for highly defined patterns without a cutting line of the yarn. This machine is able to knit intarsia and three dimensional designs.
