Trend Report: Tech Craft

Clean-cut palette - Gender inclusive shades - Fluid and lightweight

Fluidity

Large diameter materials allow for innovations for lightweight and fine gauge technology, with explorations in glossy as well as matte surfaces for a refined appearance. These materials allow for the most extreme movements as they stretch and bend to the curves and movements of the body.

Stay Support

We look to the construction used in cable-stayed bridges as well as the stays used historically in women’s intimate foundation garments for key structures and directional textures. Using intermittent  open stitches with ribs, solid jersey and tuck stitches allow for the creation of an extremely strong yet flexible material.

Technical Support

The medical industry has long been at the forefront of new materials and textile developments to help in the rehabilitation and support of the body’s healing process. We look for ways to integrate similar properties for foundation and activewear garments for a healthy body.

Sheer Blackout

Blackout textiles have long been used in the home and hotels to block out sunlight that could disturb sleep patterns, especially for travelers, children and third-shift workers. We look for ways to mimic this quality in a lightweight, breathable fabric that can be used for the body to protect from harmful UV rays.

Hybrid Mix

Combining seamless with circular and flat-bed technology allows us to reinvision the construction details and to create a unique garment. Looking towards other materials like leather, wovens and felts we can further improve performance and incorporate protective elements into our wardrobe.
