How does the seamless machine work?

AAAD：Wrapin™ x Santoni Sport Suit is produced by the seamless machine, TOP series. It uses the new version software of the iPolaris. Can you explain how this system works?

Zhao Yuan:The TOP series seamless machine is equivalent to a 3D printer for clothing. After the designer completes the design drawing, the technician makes the sample clothing program in the professional version software iPOLARIS, and then the sample clothes program is imported into the machine, and the machine will knit the pattern designed by the designer. Women's body is concave and convex, and different parts of the clothes on the body is not the same. But only need to set different tension in a specific position in the program, you can get more in line with the human body, and more comfortable and more prominent clothing.

Zhao Yuan: In the mid-1980s, factories in Europe began to involve a seamless clothing business. In the late 1990s (1996, 1997), the world's first seamless machine was created.

AAAD: When did seamless craftsmanship become popular?

Zhao Yuan: In 2007, Nike made running clothing with a seamless process. Since then, the concept of using a seamless process to do sports products has gradually become popular. AAAD: The garment industry has become the second largest source of pollution on the planet. What is the impact of seamless technology on the environment?

Zhao Yuan: Seamless processes protect the environment by reducing material waste. The traditional process uses stitching and molding, first cutting the whole piece of cloth with a laser, and then stitching the different areas through the sewing machine. This process not only has complicated processes but also causes a lot of unnecessary waste of fabric. In addition, the more stitches on a fabric, the more it will cause friction in the upper body of the clothes.

Seamless process, reduce cutting process, minimize fabric waste. With a seamless manufacturing process, the material loss is not more than 10%, but with the seaming process at least 15% -20%
